Peugeot
Leonin
The Peugeot
Leonin electric car concept, designed by Liviu Tudoran is eco-friendly
in that it is a zero emissions vehicle. This Peugeot concept car
complements the Lion image that the Peugeot logo portrays. Dubbed
as the Peugeot Leonin, the car is based on an engine that is electric
and mounted on the back of the car that is powered by a battery
which rests beneath the hood front.
A concept
car such as this one will give you the opportunity to enjoy never
having to line up for gasoline again. The sleek lines and doors
that open upwards rather than outwards are both space-saving and
very stylish. Also known simply as "the Leonin," this
is a futuristic car that won fifth place in the competition for
Peugeot design. Having gained its name from a lion, you are assured
that this car is the car of tomorrow.
If mass produced,
the Peugeot Leonin electric car concept would cost about eighteen
thousand to twenty five thousand Euros, according to what degree
of technology equipment is contained within the car. The theme
that this car was developed under is "Imagine the Peugeot
in the Worldwide Megalopolis of Tomorrow." The car has trims
of orange and black that looks subtle yet very classy.
A French
brand of car manufacturers, Peugeot belongs to the PSA Peugeot
Citroen which is the 2nd biggest car manufacturer of Europe. The
company that made its very first automobile in the year 1891 has
now produced a potentially bestselling future car. Its long history
behind great cars began when Armand Peugeot founded the Societe
des Automobiles Peugeot in 1896.
In the event
that this car becomes developed it will have a range of approximately
310 miles and could reach speeds of approximately 100 mph. These
numbers are outstanding for a car designed specifically for traveling
short distances in a bustling, crowded city. The body of the car
is made of hard plastic, aluminum composite, glass and carbon
fiber.
Rather than
a rearview interior mirror, this car will have a liquid crystal
display or LCD screen in the console main which shows the captured
video by the high resolution camera that sits on the rear part
of the car.
Many hope
that the Peugeot Leonin electric car concept will indeed become
developed. Not only is the car compact enough for crowded metropolitan
streets, it will navigate smoothly through any type of traffic
conditions.
With stores
located in Berlin and the Paris Champs Elysees, you will be able
to see this car for yourself if you are near or from the area.
If not, then you'll just have to wait and see this vehicle when
it goes commercial and comes to a showroom near you.
